Сбалансированный цикл (Balanced circuit) - цикл [math]\displaystyle{ (x_{1}, E_{1} }[/math] [math]\displaystyle{ x_{2}, E_{2} }[/math] [math]\displaystyle{ \ldots }[/math], [math]\displaystyle{ x_{k}, \, E_{k} }[/math] [math]\displaystyle{ x_{1}) }[/math] в гиперграфе такой, что либо [math]\displaystyle{ k = 2 }[/math], либо существует инцидентность [math]\displaystyle{ x_{i} \in E_{j} }[/math] где [math]\displaystyle{ j \neq i, i-1 }[/math] и [math]\displaystyle{ (i,j) \neq (1,k) }[/math].
